Academic expertise
Stem cell biology, neuroscience, neurodegenerative disease animal models, and molecular biology. Specialized in the establishment and culture systems of embryonic stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), differentiation of various specialized neurons, glial cells, and skeletal muscle, as well as the use of neurodegenerative disease animal models for drug development and transplantation therapy. Current research projects include ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) modeling and drug development, Parkinson’s disease cell transplantation therapy, rare disease in vitro models, and stem cell transplantation combined with optogenetics/sonogenetics for neurological disease treatment.
